Women's Club
This organization is open to all women of the parish, and is also a member of the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women (ACCW), Vicariate I, and the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW). Meetings, which consist of a short business session and program followed by refreshments, are held in Hunter Hall on the 3rd Thursday of the month. This group sponsors many fund-raising events for the parish and community such as:
Rummage Sales: Held in the spring and fall.
Holiday Bazaar: Usually held in November, including many booths, a cash raffle, and a fabulous chicken dinner.
Funeral Luncheons: Arrangements made through the Rectory by the family. Luncheons are held in Hunter Hall.
Staff Celebrations: Receptions for staff members to celebrate important events such as jubilees, retirement, etc.
Senior Luncheon: Held in June for Seniors of the parish. Transportation is provided for the residents of Terrace Nursing Home.
The Women's Club also supports organizations within the community to benefit and assit those who share our Christian Beliefs. These organizations include: the Caring Outreach (anti-abortion), Waukegan Area Church Women United, Waukegan Food Share, USD-Great Lakes, and Women's Shelters.
